Fahim I. Siddiqui graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from NED Engineering University, Karachi in 1974.
He joined M/s International Consultants in 1974 and he continued with this association till 1987. During this period, he worked closely with Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan and designed the air-conditioning and the Process Cooling System for the Nuclear Re-processing Plant at Kahuta. In 1987, he founded M/s Fahim, Nanji & deSouza Consulting Engineers. In December 2022, he laid foundation of Infinitum Technologies (Pvt.) Ltd.
He was a Founder Member of Pakistan HVACR Society, and was elected President of the Society from 2001-2003, and was awarded Lifetime Achievement award in 2006.
He played a pivotal role in the establishment of ASHRAE Pakistan Chapter in 2003, and was elected its President in 2005, and awarded the ASHRAE Presidential Award of Excellence in 2007. As an active member of the ASHRAE Region at Large (RAL) he has presented many technical papers in Pakistan, Greece, & India, and is currently a Distinguished Lecturer of ASHRAE RAL and a Life Member of ASHRAE.
He was elevated to the position of Fellow of Institute of Engineers, Pakistan in 2011.
He is cactus & succulent plants enthusiast for the past 45 years and founded the Cactus & Succulent Society of Pakistan & is its Lifetime Chairman. He is also an active member of the Horticultural Society of Pakistan (HSP) and has served as its Chairman from 2013-2017 and 2019-2023.
He is also a Member of the Quaid-e-Azam Mazar Management Board since April 2019.
